Born in the Philippines but raised in New Jersey, Dr. Joana Brown earned her bachelors degree from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). She then pursued her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where she developed a passion for treating pediatric patients. Dr. Brown had always loved being around children — having had a much younger sibling whom she spent much time with — so it came as no surprise that this translated into a passion for working with children in the dental setting as well! She pursued a specialty in pediatric dentistry at the NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn. Committed to spreading awareness about the importance of dental health and taking preventative measures starting at a young age, she partook in numerous neighborhood and community volunteer events during her time in dental school and residency. Today, she and her husband are enjoying being back in New Jersey, where she enjoys going for runs, watching a sunrise or two with her morning coffee, spending time with her family, and having the simple pleasure of just being at home with her husband and their cats!

Dr. Jeniffer Paez brings a gentle, heartfelt approach to pediatric dentistry, guided by a strong belief that early, compassionate care can shape a lifetime of healthy smiles. She began her academic journey studying the History of Art and Architecture at the University of Pittsburgh, later earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of New England. Dr. Paez completed her pediatric residency at NYU Langone in Providence, Rhode Island, and went on to receive advanced training through the Rhode Island LEND Program at Brown University, where she gained specialized experience in treating the neurodivergent and special needs populations. Fluent in Spanish, she is committed to creating a supportive, inclusive environment for every child and family she serves. Outside the office, Dr. Paez finds inspiration in painting and exploring art galleries with her husband and daughter.

Board Certified – American Dental Board of Anesthesiology
Dr. Lee understands that receiving anesthesia can be an overwhelming experience for patients and their loved ones, so she takes a patient-first approach to ensure their safety and comfort.
Dr. Lee attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and was the recipient of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Horace Wells Award for her dedication to the field of Dental Anesthesiology as a senior student. She then completed a three-year postdoctoral Dental Anesthesiology residency at Stony Brook University Hospital (SBUH) (in which Dr. Pfeffer was one of her core attendings!)
Throughout her training, Dr. Lee provided anesthesia for a wide variety of dental and medical procedures for both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Lee was selected as a Chief Resident for her senior year, and in this role she trained junior residents and taught
dental students.
She is also a published author for Anesthesia Progress with the honor of having a featured article. Dr. Lee’s specialized training in caring for patients with special needs, children and adults with dental phobias, and patients with chronic pain makes her a perfect fit for our practice.
Dr. Daria Klemick is a graduate of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where she was inducted into the OKU national dental honor society. After graduating, she completed advanced training as a general practice resident at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She now works at JSUMC as an attending doctor, where she guides and mentors current dental residents. Dr. Klemick understands that providing quality dental care requires continuous learning to stay current regarding developments in the constantly evolving field. As such, she is an active member of the Jersey Coast Dental Forum, a subsidiary of the Seattle Study Club, where she attends and participates in advanced continuing education courses. Furthermore, she understands that organized dentistry empowers dentists to advocate for the best possible care for their patients. For this reason, she is an active member of the New Jersey Dental Association, specifically attending monthly meetings held by the Monmouth-Ocean County NJDA sector. She also works on the NJDA New Dentist Committee to help plan networking events and provide resources for new dentists entering the field. Dr. Klemick is passionate about preventative and minimally invasive dental care. Her mission is to help you meet your smile goals while taking the stress out of visiting the dentist. In her free time, she enjoys exploring all the Jersey Shore has to offer and trying new restaurants, as she describes herself as a “total foodie.”
